This truly resonated with me. 2 years now that I've started avoiding making excuses, facing my fears and get myself in the game again. I am doing everything still afraid inside, but I do not think there's a shame in that. While it can be a bit easier to focus on actually doing something, settle your emotions and accept so many things you spent years to deny takes a bit more time and commitment. Nevertheless, we need to take the time to do it all, for ourselves and to avoid wasting precious time. We've only got one life.

That’s about as well as it can be articulated. God knows how many bumper sticker cliches get glued onto automobiles. The irony is the people who live your advice never engage in that kind of promotion. Their lives are a fire breathing testament to their values. Thanks for this post.

The river is easiest to cross at its source, true. But most folks stand on the bank journaling about the river instead of stepping in. They wait for the water to part like a Sunday school story. Meanwhile, life is passing by upstream. The hard truth is this: no monk, no Stoic, no wise uncle is coming to do your reps for you. You pick up the weight or you stay small. Own it. Move it. Bless it.
