Almost all of us are guilty of this.

We wake up and the first thing we do is look at social media.

We do this before we get back to our friends, work on our life project, practice the skills that'll strengthen us.

Before we sit by ourselves and deal with the annoying but critical life issues we've been avoiding.

We feed into other people's dreams as our attention is commodified into views and engagement used for advertisement deals and the funny thing is we’ve normalized it to the point of it being unconscious.

Seneca observed,

“People are frugal in guarding their personal property; but as soon as it comes to squandering time they are most wasteful of the one thing in which it is right to be stingy.”

Sometimes we have opinions about people’s drama when the controversy is but a marketing gimmi…
