That is mindfulness working! Mindfulness, moment to moment awareness takes practice, and over time you begin to recognize your moments as being familiar and realize last time I didn't respond well, this time I will pause and proceed with wisdom. That is what you are describing, using your wisdom. Wisdom is only found after much practice in life itself. The Stoics give us a headstart on how to be wise! Thank you for sharing so we can become more wise!
