Thomas Shelby bagging a lady at his bar.

When a man perceives his woman not merely as an object of leisure, but more so, as a charge of significant responsibility, it is then that he is better prepared to embrace his authority fully. He is ready to ascend the throne and accept his role. Cease to be a boy. Seize his destiny. And with deliberate intent, he’s more encouraged, probably out of fear of shame that he may not be a good commander and provider, to engage in outstanding acts of bravery, designed to assure lasting prosperity for his lineage. In return, the consolation that brings him slight relief from his trials is found within the bounds of love, respect, and appreciation meted out unto him by those under his rule.
