It hurts when you give your best and it dissipates into thin air like it never happened. You show up, you fix things, you keep everything from falling apart- and somehow, no one seems to notice. Or worse, someone else steps forward and takes the credit as if it cost them the sleepless nights, the self-doubt, the exhaustion. It makes you want to stop caring altogether.
