As an aesthetic philosopher (at least according to the piece of fancy paper on the wall) I thoroughly enjoyed seeing some art inspiration here! We need more beauty in the world.

I love that you thoroughly enjoyed it Barbs :). You’re right. We need more beauty in the world. What other art-forms do you enjoy?

Ohh the million-dollar question ;) I know decent human beings are supposed to say 'nature' but, as it turns out, I might not be a decent human being. Rather, I would like to believe that as long as there's purpose, thought, and reflection, anything can be considered aesthetic and elevating for the soul. Scrolling and being the passive audience of 9-second videos brings no purpose, no thought, and no reflection. But noticing an unexpected yellow leaf on the pavement, a curvy question mark among numbers and scribbles, the intrinsic melody of an unexpected sound, how bodies move in a crowded place... all of this is art. Kind of when a tree falls in the forest. It could be art if someone was paying attention.

I made it a point to reshare others’ Substack writings at least 3 times per day for this very reason.

If I subscribe to you, I want you to succeed.
